It may seem strange to have my second blog post ever to be about pictures of people in the throes of ecstasy. But I can't help it. I love these.
I'm not a Lars Von Trier fan. I loved Melancholia; thought it was beautiful and arresting. But I have't had any interest in seeing any of his other films. And I don't think I want to see this one. However, based on what I know about the film, these posters are brilliant. Alluring but also awkward. The actors are portraying a very vulnerable moment and I'm drawn into the humanity.
Mia Goth and Jamie Bell are my favorites. Stellan Skarsgard's is the one that makes me the most uncomfortable. And Shia LeBeouf's seems like a cop-out.
