So it's wonderful to see the work of photographer Jimmy Nelson. Jimmy has photographed 30 secluded and slowly vanishing tribes from all over the world in an attempt to assure that the world never forgets how things used to be.
Not only are the photographs stunning to look at, but they are a reminder of the diversity that exists (or used to exist) in this world. The modern era has allowed people to connect, but with that connection comes a sort of uniformity. We can all watch the same entertainment, listen to the same music, wear the same clothes, buy the same things. These secluded tribes have been living in relative isolation and that has allowed them to maintain their unique lifestyles. I don't know what the future holds, but I hope that this kind of diversity will always exist, even if in small doses.
