I love the tumblr Fill the Silence. It gives you interesting little facts and tidbits that you can use when a conversation has hit an awkward silence.
I actually was even able to use this fact during a recent business lunch at a client onsite. It worked great! When meeting clients in person for the first time it can be hard to figure out what to talk about over lunch. Do you stick to work related topics? Do you ask them about their personal life? It was great to have some fun facts in my back pocket to move the conversation forward without feeling like I was prying into people's personal lives.
